I feel so blessed for the many personal development books that have influenced my life. My favourite thing to mark them up, quote them, and re-read them again and again. I invite you to join in my obsession!
Sometimes life doesn’t go as we wish, but it always goes as it should. The surest way to find peace in the present moment is to TRUST. Because “There is no problem that faith cannot fix.” (ACIM)

Soul on Fire
Story time…
14 years ago, I found myself at a crossroads. I had a deep passion for giving back but no clear path to do it. At the time I was producing charitable fundraisers, working my bum off, with no end in sight. Then I was introduced to the world of network marketing through a wellness company — an industry that’s not for the faint of heart — and I saw a potential path to have it all.
For the first year, I struggled. I wanted success so badly but couldn’t seem to make it happen. One day at a training, a petite powerhouse named Linda — one of the company’s top leaders — was speaking. Afterward, I ran up to her, heart wide open, and said, “I just don’t know why it’s not working for me.”
She looked me straight in the eyes and said, “What are you waiting for? Just do it already.”
Simple words. But they cut through every excuse and landed deep in my heart.

That moment changed everything. I stopped waiting for permission and started doing — consistent action, anchored in faith. Within two years, I was at the top of the company, and my entire life had transformed.
Along the way, I devoured hundreds of personal development books — stories of resilience, mindset, and meaning. Those pages shaped me. It’s probably why I still love books so much — they’re portals for transformation.
Fast forward a few years, I found myself sitting at a company conference as one of my favourite authors, John O’leary , took the stage. His story of overcoming and deep faith moved me to tears.
Afterward, on one of our many catch up calls, Linda expressed that she wanted to turn his book into a movie — and asked if I wanted to be part of it. I said YES immediately, not realizing what a leap of faith that would be. I did not know I would be one of the first of almost 60 to invest in that vision.
Years later, she invited me to St. Louis to witness the filming. Walking into Bush Stadium with the film cast and crew — the air electric and full of possibility — I felt awe rush through me. She took my hand, and we giggled like kids. I looked at her and asked, “Why me?” — the very same words John had once written in his book…
She smiled and said, “Because I felt like you were meant to be part of it.”
Almost eight years later… here we are. Soul on Fire is officially released across North America.
I am forever grateful to Linda — for believing in me, for her vision, her friendship, and for seeing something in me long before I saw it in myself. That’s what a true mentor does — holds the mirror until you can see your own light.
This journey is one I’ll hold dear forever — a story of faith, persistence, and the magic that happens when you say yes before you know how.I invite you to check it out and let me know what you think!
